• World Religion - Day Two

  Today, we were visited by Claire from West End in Schools - a London Dance Company who we have enjoyed working with in the past. The children all enjoyed a workshop based on a theme of 'Teamwork and Respect' . All classes continued their World Religion Studies today with work around 'The Golden Rule'. Make sure you look out for displays in the classroom windows!

  

• World Religion Day

  This week, as part of our Religious Education, we are celebrating World Religion Day. We began with Miss Underwood and Ruth Ridge leading assembly, where we thought about different world religions and how many of them share 'The Golden Rule' or a similar belief - 'Do to others as you would have them do to you'.

  Then we welcomed visitors from several faiths to talk to children in family groups about their own faith, and how they practise that in their everyday lives. We spent the rest of the morning engaged in art and craft activities relating to the religion we had learned about. Art work is being displayed in classroom windows for everyone to see, so please take a moment to look at the end of the day.

  The theme continues tomorrow, when we will be joined by West End in Schools Dance Company. They will be leading workshops throughout the school on a theme of working together and teamwork, before children in all classes develop their artwork around the idea of the Golden Rule. What a busy week - thank you Miss Underwood for making all the arrangements!

  

• U11 Swimming Gala

  We had an excellent team of swimmers take part in the Sudbury Primary Schools Swimming Gala today. They all swam brilliantly and tried their best; as a result they finished in 3rd place. To read the full report click here.
