  • Harvest Festival

    Mon 02 Oct 2017 Miss O'Neill

Today the whole school walked down to Church for our Harvest Festival. Everyone brought a tin or packet of food to share and added them to those collected by the church congregation yesterday. Rev Caroline led the prayers and talked about thanking God for the harvest, and about how people in our community appreciate being remembered at this time of year. She reminded us that everyone needs help at one time or another and sharing food is a way in which we can help those in need at the moment.

Tomorrow, Rev Caroline and Miss O'Neill will take a group of children to help to distribute these gifts to members of our village. Any extra food will be donated to the Foodbank in Sudbury.

Thank you to everyone who donated food today - it will be greatly appreciated by our community.
