This week, as part of our Religious Education, we are celebrating World Religion Day. We began with Miss Underwood and Ruth Ridge leading assembly, where we thought about different world religions and how many of them share 'The Golden Rule' or a similar belief - 'Do to others as you would have them do to you'.

Then we welcomed visitors from several faiths to talk to children in family groups about their own faith, and how they practise that in their everyday lives. We spent the rest of the morning engaged in art and craft activities relating to the religion we had learned about. Art work is being displayed in classroom windows for everyone to see, so please take a moment to look at the end of the day.

The theme continues tomorrow, when we will be joined by West End in Schools Dance Company. They will be leading workshops throughout the school on a theme of working together and teamwork, before children in all classes develop their artwork around the idea of the Golden Rule.
